This year, the children have started to learn about the principles of Catholic Social Teaching (CST).

CST is the part of Catholic teaching that addresses matters of social, economic and ecological justice in the world.

CAFOD put it quite simply when they wrote, ‘When we see something happening good or bad, Catholic Social Teaching helps us to think about it, and choose how to act.’

CAFOD workshops

We welcomed CAFOD into our school, where they conducted workshops with each class, focusing on the nine principles of Catholic Social Teaching. These engaging sessions helped deepen our understanding of social justice and the importance of caring for one another.

LiveSimply

We are proud to be working towards the LiveSimply Award. This is a scheme designed for communities and schools that demonstrate how they have been living:

  • Simply
  • Sustainably with creation
  • In solidarity with people living in poverty

The LiveSimply Award celebrates the achievements already made while inspiring us to do even more. It encourages us to live not only more simply but also more fully, fostering a deeper connection with each other and the environment. We are excited to be part of this journey toward positive change!
