Mission Statement
Learn, Love, Pray
At St. Hugh’s, we grow together with Christ in our hearts. We reach our potential in a learning community and we welcome all with respect and understanding.
Our Mission Statement is the foundation of everything we do as a school. During this first half term, we have dedicated time to introducing it to our children. Each child has explored its meaning and learned how it guides our daily actions and interactions. On Friday, 25th October, we came together to celebrate our Mission Statement Launch Day!
We started with a whole-school Celebration of the Word, including governors and a representative from the Archdiocese, and we then followed this up with celebratory activities throughout the day. The children had a fabulous time!
The day began with a whole-school Celebration of the Word, attended by, staff, governors, and a representative from the Archdiocese. This was followed by a day full of celebratory activities. The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and took great pride in embracing the spirit of our Mission Statement.

Steve the Magician brought the fun to each year group by hosting a lively class party!
KABs (Kids Activities & Bootcamps) transformed the hall with a giant inflatable obstacle course, creating an exciting area where the children raced against each other and the staff. The air was filled with laughter and cheers as everyone enjoyed the fun challenge.
Each class gathered around the firepit with KABS to make s’mores. The treats were delicious!
To help our children remember our mission every day, each child took home a wonderful gift bag. Inside, they found a bookmark, a small notebook for their thoughts and a treat. The children were thrilled with their gifts.
